Sofia International Book Fair - Sofia (December 11-16, 2018)

The largest book forum in Bulgaria will be held from 11th to 16th December in the National Palace of Culture under the motto "Four Countries - One Language".

From Tuesday to Sunday(including) the 46th edition of the Sofia International Book Fair, a favorite and anticipated event of the cultural show in the capital, will present more than 160 participants from Bulgaria and abroad on six floors.

Accompanying program is again extremely intense and will present premieres of the latest titles in Bulgaria, dozens of meetings with Bulgarian and foreign authors and publishers, a literary festival with over 80 guests. All this will turn the National Palace of Culture into a center of attraction for book lovers on Christmas Eve.
The official start of the event will be on 11 December, Tuesday at 11:00 at the Central Lobby of the National Palace of Culture.

The focus of this year's edition falls on the German-language literature of the states Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The program will present to the Bulgarian audience 11 guest authors in the foreign program and over 70 Bulgarian participants in various formats - meetings with authors, discussions, exhibitions, children's program and many more surprises.

The 46th International Book Fair is organized with the support of the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and Sofia Municipality. The events take place in partnership with the Frankfurt Book Fair, the Goethe-Institut Bulgarien and with the financial support of the German Foreign Ministry. Partners of the Honorary Program are the Principality of Liechtenstein, Deutsche Botschaft Sofia, the Austrian Embassy Sofia, the Pro Helvetia Swiss Cultural Foundation, the Embassy of Switzerland in Bulgaria, “Traduki”, and the Kurt Wolf Foundation.

The event is part of the Cultural Calendar of Sofia Municipality for 2018.
