The sand figures are waiting for you in Burgas. 19 sculptures carved favorite children's characters

Burgas. On Friday at 6 pm the Sand Sculpture Festival will officially open its doors for visitors with its new exposition "Favorite Children's Heroes". Only tonight anyone can enter for free - a tradition that the Municipality of Burgas respects since its first edition. The mood of the audience will be taken care of by girls from Estrela Dance School, headed by Olga Dimitrova.

The Festival This Year

This year the sand sculptures are sculptured by only 19 Bulgarian authors, among them five local (from Burgas) - Atanas Stoyanov, Dobrin Vatev, Ognyan Petkov, Igor Hristov and Vladimir Dungyov.

In the first editions, the participants were from abroad. Gradually Bulgarian artists started to learn from the experienced masters and today we can say that already has a native school in this art, created in Burgas.

Work time and ticket prices

The Sand Sculpture Festival will work without a break until October, from 08.00 to 22.00. The rates for a visit are the following:

- Children up to 7 years of age and people with disabilities - free of charge.

- Children 7-18 years - BGN 1.50

- Pensioners - BGN 1.50

- Group over 10 people - BGN 2.50

- Regular ticket - BGN 3.50

- 2 adults + child over 7 years - 7 BGN

- 2 adults + 2 children over 7 years - 8,50 BGN

- 2 adults + 3 children over 7 years - 10 BGN
