Quartet Rastrelli opens the European Music Festival in Varna

One of Europe's most popular string quartets - "Rastrelli Cello Quartet" - will open the European Music Festival in Varna on 12 April, the press center of the Municipality announced. A day later, on the 13th, the Varna Carnival will take place on Anton Novak Square, with the presentation of masks and costumes in the competition program by ensembles and individual performers.

The newest program of the Russian Star Four - "From Brahms to the Beatles" - will be the first time in Bulgaria on April 12 at 7 pm in Hall 1 of the Festival and Congress Center. The event is organized with the assistance of the Culture Fund of Varna Municipality.

The rapidly-growing world-famous Quartet "Rastrelli" was created in Stuttgart in 2002 by German musicians living in Germany, most of whom were born in St. Petersburg. The quartet has performed more than 1,000 concerts on five continents, has 10 extremely successful tours in the United States. Rastrelli's concert tickets are on sale at the Festival and Congress Center cashier.

Varna Carnival - 13.04

On 13.04.2019, at 12 o'clock Anton Novak Square, with the presentation of masks and costumes in the competition program by composers and individual performers will be held Varna carnival. At the entrance of the Sea Garden at 14:00. Mummers visiting and survakari groups will perform specific rituals of the festive masquerade rituals. At 16:00, a festive concert will begin, with Stanley and his new band, Teddy Genev, Blagovesh Bogjev from Macedonia and the folk ensemble "Varna". The winners of the competition program and special guests will be awarded at the final. An exhibition-bazaar of artisan craftsmen from all over Bulgaria will traditionally be part of the accompanying program in the hours from 10:00 to 20:00 on Anton Novak Square.
