Borovets, January 20: World Snow Day 2019

For another year Borovets will take part in the initiative of FIS "World Day of Snow".

The date is January 20, and Borosport prepares many surprises for the youth and adult skiers on the slopes and snow parks of Borovets.

The holiday gathers fans of mountain, snow and winter sports around the world. The first Bulgarian winter resort will include an interesting program and will offer adventures to all the guests on the festive Sunday.

Up to now, with its five editions until 2019, the event has gathered more than 750,000 participants as part of hundreds of events in more than 45 countries.

Especially for the Borovets holiday, daily lift cards for children under 12 will be at the symbolic price of BGN 1. The doors of the children's snow park "Borokids" will be open to the youngest guests of the resort, who will receive free equipment and lessons. Free training will be available for all beginners skiers and snowboarders of all ages from the Borosport ski and snowboard school.

The purpose of World Snow Day is to motivate children between 4 and 14 years of age to become familiar with and to love winter sports and entertainment during the season. The event is held annually at the initiative of the International Ski Federation - FIS. Borovets is among the resorts that have been participating in the holiday since its beginning.
